Xiangqi (Chinese chess) is more or less the same as the Western version of chess.  This group was playing a lively game at the temple just down the block from our house.  When I saw them I pulled up a stool and observed for a few minutes, understood nothing and took a few photos.  If you are curious, here’s a Wikipedia page about Xiangqi.
