PAD #61 – Reaching for the Sky

Reaching for the Sky

This is probably one of the most common shots for any visitor to Taipei, but today was a particularly good day to shoot Taipei 101.  Most days the smog keeps the view rather muted.  Today the sun was out, the skies were clear and 101 looked great.

If you’re from the Puget Sound region you know the term, “The mountain is out!”  Well, Mt. Rainier is always there, but sometimes clouds, smog or both keep it from really standing out.  It is kind of the same thing with 101.  You know it is always there, but sometimes it really shines and needs to be noticed.  Today was one of those days.
