I was so into the color reproduction and crispness of the Quattro’s files that I hadn’t even thought about trying out its black and white capabilities until a few days ago. After just a few conversions I have to say that I am really impressed and it broadens the Quattro’s usability. These files were all converted from raw, X3F, files in Sigma Photo Pro 6.2. Since the Foveon sensor tends to lose some of its outstanding color reproduction at higher ISOs, 1600 and higher, you have a black and white option to fall back on.
