We’ve made the migration to Tokyo for the third straight year for Thanksgiving. It’s a relatively short flight, about 3 hours, just about perfect for a four-day weekend.

Shinjuku has been our base for each of those visits and by chance we ended up with a view room on the first visit and now, we wouldn’t consider any other room at the hotel.

The westerly facing room has a view of a small park at the base of the hotel, the western suburbs and finally in the distant background, Mt. Fuji.
